CLIENT SUCCESS: GEAPS - THE GRAIN ELEVATOR AND PROCESSING SOCIETY

GEAPS Exchange (Annual Conference)
GEAPS Exchange 2014 was a huge success setting new records with 3,379 attendees, the largest Expo ever with 67,800 square feet of booth space and 400 exhibiting companies, and more than 30 hours of educational programming.

Distance Education Program
GEAPS’ award-winning distance education program, developed in partnership with Kansas State University, helps GEAPS members and the entire grain industry by strengthening the skills of today’s workforce and preparing the next generation of grain industry employees. The program has grown exponentially in just eight years.

CLIENT SUCCESS: MINNESOTA ASSOCIATION OF NURSE ANESTHETISTS

The Goal: Transition from a volunteer run organization to management services provided by The Harrington Company. Implement policies and procedures to streamline processes.

The Strategy: Accounting policies designed by The Harrington Company were approved by the MANA Board to ensure consistent accounting practices were followed by the organization.

The Accomplishment: MANA’s external accountant indicated that MANA’s affiliation with The Harrington Company brought oversight, improved controls and lower risk for the association. Board members have commented that the responsiveness and quality of service has greatly improved since retaining The Harrington Company.

CLIENT SUCCESS: NAIOP MINNESOTA

The Goal: Increase market share with the industry’s “developing leaders,” professionals age 35 years or younger for NAIOP Minnesota, the Commercial Real Estate Development Association.

The Strategy: The Harrington Company teamed with the NAIOP MN leaders to shape the debut of this new member segment and committee. A successful Developing Leaders member segment was initiated with a series of educational programs and networking activities that provided a variety of participation options for NAIOP developing leader members. The Developing Leader Mentorship program has proven particularly effective, teaming individual Developing Leader members with an established industry leader and NAIOP member to help guide their personal and career development.

The Accomplishment: Engagement of a previously untapped market has resulted in NAIOP Minnesota’s Developing Leader members growing to become 21% of the NAIOP Minnesota membership, a 13% increase. Increased engagement of a market segment and NAIOP Minnesota winning a national merit award for the design of its Developing Leaders activities.
