COLLEEN AYERS, CAE

Senior Account Executive

Colleen’s most valued skill is her ability to build cohesive boards and committees. She achieves this by nurturing relationships between board and committee members, fostering open communication, and helping everyone to see things from the broader organizational perspective. This ability to connect the dots is key to keeping day-to-day association operations running smoothly and helping the Board of Directors and volunteer committees to accomplish their strategic goals.

Colleen is skilled at quickly learning the intricacies of each organization’s industry and unique concerns then pinpointing opportunities to streamline operations or approach a challenge from a different angle. She has extensive experience in most areas of association operations from budget management to event planning and developing many forms of print and electronic communications. She has successfully guided associations through strategic planning and re-branding initiatives.

Colleen earned her Certified Association Executive (CAE) designation in 2013 through the American Society of Association Executives (ASAE) and is also a member of Associations North. She graduated summa cum laude from Lawrence University with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Studio Art and a minor in Gender Studies.

In her free time, Colleen enjoys craft projects of any kind, exploring urban landscapes near and far, and renovating her 100+ year old house.
